Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and those last-minute changes end up being the best decisions we ever make.

This project was originally meant to be a road trip to Cornwall. But once we realised we'd underestimated the driving time, leaving us with barely a weekend to actually explore, we pivoted. We went looking for dunes instead, and found a location just three hours away that we didn't expect to fall in love with. What we found there, you can witness for yourself in the images below.

There's a concept psychologists call “the zone”: that moment when you're so immersed in what you're doing that everything else fades out, and all that's left is you and the work. For me, that's what creating feels like. It's not just about the shot — it's about that complete sense of freedom that comes with being fully present in it.

That feeling is what this trip became. Not the destination we planned, not even the one we ended up at, just the process of creating, unplanned and unfiltered. This is what came out of it.
